Dr Raka Maitra
Dr Raka Maitra is currently training in Child adolescent Psychiatry and Child Psychotherapy. She held a Marie Curie Fellowship in Neuroimaging in Germany and has presented neuroimaging research in psychosis at international conferences. She was awarded the first prize in neuroscience coursework at National Brain Research Centre, India and the Florence Nichols Prize for the best outgoing student in Psychiatry, CMC Vellore, India.
Dr Maitra is enthusiastic about teaching. She was selected for Mentoring Teaching and Learning Support Scheme for Early-Career Staff at Kings College London (KCL). She has taught on MSc Psychology and Neuroscience of Psychosis module and Formulation tutorial module for MSc Mental Health Studies at KCL. She has been an OSCE examiner for third year medical students at KCL. At present she participates in teaching final year students at University College London(UCL) and recently organised and coordinated CAMHS placement tutorials for final year students at UCL.
